AnMed Health Behavioral Health Center provides confidential short-term inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment and supportive medical care.
Patients in the Behavioral Health Center are cared for by a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals who are under the direction of a psychiatrist. Upon admission, each patient is given a comprehensive assessment and an individualized treatment plan is developed.
Programs at the Behavioral Health Center
Provided by masters-prepared counselors and psychiatric nurses under the direction of a physician. Patients are encouraged to develop an understanding of their problem. Medical treatments and behavioral-control therapies are designed to help patients regain a sense of purpose and well-being, while returning them to a normal degree of functioning. Programs include:
* Adult Acute Care Program-which provides confidential treatments for adults who have demonstrated problems associated with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and/or other behavioral health diagnoses.
* Senior Adult Acute Care Program-which specializes in short-term psychiatric and supportive medical care for persons aged 65 and older who are suffering from cognitive, emotional and behavioral disorders related to aging.
* Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)-which serves patients whose behavioral or emotional problems do not necessitate inpatient treatment, but who can benefit from comprehensive and ongoing therapy in an outpatient setting three days a week.
Services at the Behavioral Health Center
Each patient admitted to the Behavioral Health Center will receive the following services:
* Complete Assessment-An evaluation is performed and a diagnosis formulated.
* Individualized Treatment Plans-Each patient receives a structured plan of care including treatment goals.
* Individual and Family Therapies-Therapists guide patients and families toward new methods for dealing with their problems.
* Group Therapy-Patients examine and work through issues and problems during group sessions.
* Activity Therapy-Patients participate in activities such as arts and crafts, music and exercise to enhance self-esteem and encourage development of leisure interests.
* Patient Education-Patients are taught the personal and social skills needed to cope with everyday problems and life after discharge.
* Comprehensive Medical Care-Initial evaluation and, when indicated, ongoing medical treatment and monitoring are provided.
* Discharge Planning-Staff assists patients in returning to the community or in finding appropriate follow-up outpatient services.
Referrals and Admissions
A phone call from a physician, the patient, a member of the patient's family or a referring professional will begin the admission process to AnMed Health Behavioral Health & Wellspring. An appointment for an assessment will be scheduled immediately.
Arrangements for assessments can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Fees and Insurance
Fees for program services are among the most reasonable in the area. Most insurance or third-party payors cover treatment for AnMed Health Behavioral Health services in whole or in part. Patients or "responsible parties" should check with their insurance carrier or with the benefits manager at their place of employment to confirm coverage. AnMed Health is a contracted provider in many managed care networks. AnMed Health business office consultants will assist each patient with pre-certification and program approval. Financial arrangements must be made before admission.
